The horses have not been described either.
Tinne is a young sorcerer and Ren is a young swordsman with a habit of thievery.
I will greatly appreciate any input. Thanks,
D.E.

Last Saturday I had a great, private tutorial with a writing coach. She brought to my attention the fact all horse owners have names for their horses. Ren and Tinne do not have names for theirs. I am looking for suggestions.

when I set out to write the story of a legendary King wielding a powerful magic sword I never would have dreamt I would be researching bee keeping!
It has come to my understanding if I want you, my readers, to believe what I write I had better know what I'm talking about. So, regardless the size of the part I have resolved myself to research anything I am not fabricating. (For the most part) So far I have learned some fascinating information about northern hemisphere honey bees. Did you know the Queen controls her hive by pheromones and that the survival of the hive is completely dependant on her? Or that the worker bees will notice her absence within a couple of hours and therefore immediately begin constructing emergency queen cells to replace her? She can lay as many as one million eggs in her two or three year life span and as many as three thousand in a day. She decides whether she will lay worker bee eggs or drone eggs by the size of the cell she comes to in the nest. If she chooses to fertilize the egg it will become an infertile female (worker). If not it becomes a drone (male). Fascinating! But, enough about bees for now. Stay tuned. I am working on The Legend of Kozlov: Empires. Thanks for reading, D.E. This afternoon I reached 1803 followers on Twitter! I said I would make, "The Quest for the Black Dragon", available for free when that happened. So, for a limited time it is free! Just a little update.
I am currently focussed on writing, "Empires"; The Legend of Kozlov, book one. That's not entirely true because my imagination is giving me ideas for, "The Twelfth Knight" and, "The Ruby of Sheila Na' Gig". I am considering a revision of,"The Quest for the Black Dragon", and a chapter by chapter release on Channillo.com. Stay tuned. D.E. I am currently struggling with the imminent demise of a new heroine. It will undoubtedly lead to the deaths of her two sisters as well. Hmmm. How does it go down and how is it rectified? Or is it?
Human sacrifice? Do her sisters witness the atrocity? Maybe they rescue her and she doesn't have to die. They're such awesome characters though. D.E. I spoke with Steve over the summer. He expects he will be finished the graphics for our first episode in a couple of months.
I am very excited! The title is, "Damsels in Distress" D.E. I'm re-writing part of episode 1, Damsels in Distress.
Steve has made some changes to the way he is approaching the images and I am very excited. He has the first third finished and is working on the ending while I rework the middle. I can't wait to see what he comes up with and to release it to you all. Thanks for hanging in there, D.E. So, the hero, returning from an adventure, runs into a beautiful princess in the forest. She is sobbing uncontrollably. She tells the hero she has been cursed by a witch and the curse can only be undone with a kiss from a warrior of legend.
Our hero is, of course, a warrior of legend and a gentlemen who cannot stand to see a woman cry. He kisses her. What our hero doesn't know is that the princess is actually a witch and her kiss is meant to entrance him. He cannot see her true self and thinks he is madly in love with the beautiful princess. Why would she do this? Is she planning to destroy him? Maybe she wants to steal his awesomeness. How will he escape? Will he use his magic sword? Will he be able to? Will he discover his need to escape? What would your solution be? Thank you.
A little while ago I asked for assistance to name three new characters. I received more than twenty suggestions. From the list of names I have chosen four. Three names for the sisters and one for their foster mother, whom I had no knowledge of prior to the request. Anastasia is a kindly old woman who lives alone in the forest between Alliston and Beeton. She is a small woman with a very large heart. She is always looking out for the welfare of children. Three of whom she adopted. Some claim Anna is a witch. Most choose to ignore that little "inconvenience" about her and love her as a grandmother. At one time there were those who tried to bring out the worst in her to cause fear among the villagers and have her burned for practicing the black arts. They took some children hostage to provoke her. Well, on the edge of town there is an overgrown pile of rubble laying beneath a stone chimney and a chestnut tree. No. Nobody crosses Anna anymore. Faroh is the oldest of the three. She always had an interest in Anna's craft and picked it up quickly. She is cautious and motherly toward her little sisters. Fuery is the middle of the three. She has enough attitude for them all. She is bold and has no qualms with taking great risks. One of her favourite games is to torment the boys. She teases them and taunts them. If they dare get fresh she allows them to kiss her fist. She taught herself to use a rapier and has become very skilled. Famke is the youngest. She is quiet, but not shy. She is highly observant and tends to go about things without informing anyone of her intentions. She is excellent with her bow. The three are in their twenties and have become mercenaries to avenge the deaths of their parents. Thank you again for the assistance. D.E. |
